THEY ARE US
They Are Us is a tribute to Dublin, a tribute to the city: northside and southside, the visible and the secret, the good and the bad. They Are Us was initially conceived by Maser, and grew out of a previous art project, ‘Maser Loves You’, which involved a series of positive messages being placed around the city.
The pair began collaborating - Maser selecting sites, and Damien supplying words, some old, mostly new. ‘I think 99% of his words are ones that from his notebooks. A few are lyrics that I love, and thought would be ideal for a certain sites.

The STROKE.ARTFAIR (7-10 Oct, Berlin) is the worlds first artfair dedicated to the artistic developments of many diverse subcultural influences throughout the last 30 years, such as Streetart, Graffiti, Low-Brow, Illustration, Skateboard Art and many more - subsumed under the term of Urban Art.
To regard the dynamic aspects of the whole movement - the artfair is conceived as a wandering project and will implement various other projects in the near future. Munich as the prelude of all activities represents the basecamp for the STROKE.ARTFAIR. Berlin - without any doubt - is one of the most important cities for art and cultural development worldwide. Every autumn Berlin turns into a mekka for artcritics, collectors and artlovers worldwide. To introduce the STROKE.ARTFAIR to an international audience, we decided to bring the success-story from Munich to Berlin, to show once more, that Urban Art is not just any other hype.

Hown Many Billboards? Art in Stead
The MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House is pleased to present its most ambitious project to date: How Many Billboards? Art in Stead. This large-scale urban exhibition debuts 21 newly commissioned works by leading contemporary artists, presented simultaneously on billboards in Los Angeles in February and March 2010.
How Many Billboards? Art In Stead proposes that art periodically displace advertisement in the urban environment.
The Shadow Project
A beautiful execution and idea by the artist Katie Sokoler, cutting human forms in black paper and sticking them on the walls and the pavements of the town of Brooklyn. It waits then the exact moment to take the photo correspondent in the shade.

Intalnirea organizata de AltArt va porni de la exemple si marturii ale invitatilor pentru a discuta despre arta in spatiu public, mesajele continute de street art, provocarile situarii artei intr-un context social si va incerca sa defineasca arta de pe strazile din Romania.

Undeva între „hai, răzi până vine autobuzul” şi „ceva urmează să se întâmple” proiectul se inspiră din ravaşele, hororscopurile şi testele de personalitate, de compatibiliate şi incompatibilitate, ce promit răspunsuri la problemele cotidiene. În aşteptarea unei lumi în care, dacă eşti nefericit norocul te aşteaptă după colţ, dacă eşti singur cineva sigur te iubeşte pe ascuns iar dacă ai o viaţă monotonă vei avea o surpriză, seria de răvaşe mizează pe neprevăzut şi pe complicitatea descoperirii pentru a face zilele cu 5 minute mai bune sau măcar mai vesele.
